About nine years ago, I embarked on my journey of consciousness work and seven years ago, I discovered the world of Tantra. Through being present, humble, and open to exploring my global conditioning, childhood traumas, and creating a safe space for myself, I have been able to gain confidence in being vulnerable and embracing my emotions.
As I work to disentangle the conditioning and limiting beliefs that have held me back, I have come to realize that my perspective on the world, others, and myself is constantly evolving. I have found that things that once seemed impossible are now easy, that actions of others that once offended me no longer do, and that emotions and feelings that were once suppressed are now able to be easily expressed.
Through Tantra I discovered that we might really be born into this world with a predestined CORE wound that we all unconsciously put on our parents, thus creating a mother/father trauma. Unless we become aware of how this core wound rules our lives, feelings, and actions. How our relationships and external world are all reflecting our core wounds and at the same time creating the ideal scenarios to heal them. If we are not aware, we cannot do anything about it, we might go towards a very mediocre life only to never or only much later in life stop and start to question our reality. Becoming aware is the first step and it enables us to truly heal our core wounds, we are able to become free, and we are able to become WHOLE again. Tantra did not only help me become aware but also provided me with plenty of powerful tools to support me in becoming whole again.
The most beneficial practices and tools from Tantra that I have found to be helpful in my personal growth journey include:
- Staying outside my comfort zone
- Continuously question everything I feel or think in an open-minded way.
- Consecration
- Music
- Surrounding myself with nature
- Staying humble
- Eating healthy and exercising my body.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Tantra is that it has become westernized and labeled as “SEX” or “PORN.” This is the furthest from the truth. Sexual energy is used as a catalyst for personal growth because it is so powerful, but never is the release of energy encouraged. It’s the opposite, how can we contain all this life energy, and how to be with the feeling of it being too much/ I need to release it, move it throughout the whole body, expanding and reaching higher states of bliss without the need of any drugs.
